One of the leading commercial flooring dealers located in  Metro Atlanta is looking for a commercial sales representative to call on medical, institutional, and educational facilities in the areas of Columbus, GA, Macon, GA, La Grange, GA, and Auburn, AL.

 

This individual needs experience calling on these types of facility managers in either a flooring, pharmaceutical, medical device or medical furniture capacity. 

 

Responsibilities:

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales opportunities or by phone. Ability to sell Flooring Products with an emphasis on hands-on demonstrations using samples, and displaying salable product features. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's installation and delivery schedules. Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. Works with manufactrers representatives for product pricing and to keep account activities and literature and samples up to date. Creates customer call list for territory Coordinates customer training. Sales Budget Responsibilities Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigates and resolves customer problems with warranties or other issues.  Attends trade shows as requested.

 

Requirement/Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to meet attendance requirements. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Educaiton/Certification:

Four-five years experience performing essential functions of this position in a fast paced work environment with a diversified work force.

Literacy in, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. A valid driver's license is required.
