Job Description: Fully qualified collector with minimum of Collector 3 level skills. Specializes in one or more collections areas in which legal action may be necessary, including but not limited to: probate, bankruptcy, foreclosure or repossession. In addition to Collector 3 level responsibilities: assigns accounts to court process, develops location information about debtors for purpose of collecting past due payments. May work on special projects. Responsible to meet monthly performance goals in the collection of charged-off automobile loan and lease accounts. Will be required to manage a collection queue and work in an auto-dialer environment. Will be required to analyze account data and negotiate payments and settlements on loan and lease accounts. Will work in a highly charged team environment to meet quantity and quality goals for the individual as well as various team requirements. Will be required to handle legal referrals, repossession referrals and customer service issues as well as processing skip trace activities. May be assigned to special tasks associated with the recovery process and/or the teams that support the process
Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of experience in the area of collection and/or recovery of charged-off auto loans and leases. High level of understanding of this industry including expertise in the various technologies and resources used in this area. Strong organizational and communication skills.Collection skills must include skip tracing and phone contact skills.
Preferred Skills: Wells Fargo or other large bank/auto financing background. Proficiency in utilizing MS Office products and Wells Fargo Bank Systems. Automobile finance and collections background is a strong plus.
