Job Skills/Requirements
The position is responsible for defining and consistently driving the Data Administration, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), Operation Data Store (ODS), Data Warehouse (DW), Data Mart (DM), Data Quality, Integrity and Validation from strategic and tactical company initiatives in the HRS division.
This position is also responsible for managing a team of developers consisting of ETL analysts and report developers as well as performing hands-on functional and technical data administration and modeling analysis.
In addition you are expected to develop, maintain and manage a Data Administration and Data Modeling strategy and plan for ODS, DW and DM. Manage, facilitate and effectively implement all Data Administration, ETL, DW and DM projects for the BI team. Head multiple projects and manage priorities to deliver projects on time. Collaborate with Business and Support Groups and Data Analysts to effectively deliver the BI reporting and analysis. Manage and work on process improvement, revenue enhancements and cost reduction projects. Provide direction, mentoring and leadership to all members of the BI team.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent is required.
Masters Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field preferred.
5+ years experience in defining, designing and implementing Data Models, Data Staging, ODS, and EDW.
5+ years experience with SQL, DM and BI tools.
Proficient in using BI ETL and Modeling tools, COGNOS is preferred.
Experience with DW, DM, Data Modeling, OLAP, Star Schema.
Proficient with SQL.
Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Project Management, Meta Data principles are all highly preferred.
Experience in BI analysis and reporting, triggers and events notifications platforms/packages preferred.
