CITY: Davenport STATE: Iowa COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): The CNC Sales Engineer is responsible for market development and sales of all GE Fanuc CNC products and services to CNC end users and retrofitters in assigned territory * Create demand through specification development of CNC systems for major end user programs, program expansions, and retrofits. * Educate end users on lean manufacturing techniques to create demand for machine tool productivity solutions like: plant efficiency software, adaptive control, machine tool probing and machining optimization * Provide CNC system sales support for retrofitters. * Coordinate and manage distributors and asset managers to drive aftermarket sales growth of spare parts, repairs and service * Utilize Sales Tools such as Siebel to increase personal productivity and enhance collaborative efforts with entire GE Fanuc sales force. * Extensive travel up to 40-50% of time to customer locations is required including some overnight travel Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelors degree in business, industrial/manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related engineering program or technical field of study. * Three or more years of prior sales experience in large account management or territory development assignment. * Strong computer skills using MS Office package applications and Internet search engines. * Persistent, self-motivated, and able to take initiative to accomplish goals with limited supervision. * Customer oriented and market focused. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. English language proficiency. * Demonstrated ability to build and energize teams, and coach others. * Strong influencing and presentation skills. * Candidate will be based in Midwest in the states of IA, IL, MN, MO, or WI. =============================================== * You must submit your application online via COS to be considered. Desired: * Able to manage multiple tasks while providing closure in a timely manner. * Minimum 2 or more years team leadership experience, preferably in a sales capacity. * Training in lean manufacturing concepts. * Experience with manufacturing enterprise software systems. * Hands on numerical and/or automation controls experience, including CNCs and PLCs. * Experience in Sales Channel development and management. * Experience with financial budgeting at P&L or region level. * Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. * CLP or OMLP or ECLP graduate (internal GE only).
