BI is an established, growing and innovative business improvement company with a nationally recognized commitment to quality.   Our Merchandise Group is seeking a talented Closeout Buyer to join their team.  The Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing diverse merchandise assortments utilizing current and new suppliers.  Merchandise categories include but are not limited to electronics, cameras, sporting goods, toys, household appliances, lawn and garden, hardware, apparel, house wares, and home and office.

 

Responsibilities of this position will include:

Develop dynamic weekly opportunity buy assortmentsMaintain and develop collaborative relationships with internal business partnersManage Vendor and Supplier selection process, relationship and terms of sale negotiationsMerchandise margin performanceCreative problem solvingDevelop marketing strategies

 

 

This position requires an undergraduate degree in Merchandising, Marketing or Business. Additional qualifications include:

Seven years of sourcing, purchasing, and managing merchandise assortmentsProven history of success and continued career advancementThorough knowledge of the closeout marketE-commerce merchandising experienceStrong and varied supplier relationshipsHighly effective negotiation skillsPassion for excellence, exceeding goals and customer satisfactionDirect import experience desirable

 

 Qualified candidates will also be proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
