Job Description

Clinical Science Associate
Territory: Louisiana, Mississippi

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain and build upon established rapport with assigned physicians and create new relationships
Maintain and build on existing links with patient associations. Plan and organize Patient Meetings
Identify new patients and arrange via the appropriate mechanism for them to begin treatment
Canvas targeted physician subspecialty groups to uncover new patients
Develop and update annual Business Plan to penetrate new markets
Educate and train doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists and genetic counselors regarding the safe use of products
Plan, organize, implement and evaluate: Medical Lectures by Experts in LSD’s
Identify and develop treatment center outreach programs
Plan, organize, implement and evaluate marketing programs including lectures, patient meetings, dinner programs, etc.
Close monitoring of direct accounts to optimize patient adherence


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5-7+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales experience
Experience with pre-launch/launch; development of a new specialty market and biotech sales
Demonstrated experience working in a matrix environment
Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
Self-starter with proven track record and demonstrated sales results
Strong organizational, communications and planning skills
Candidates must live in and have experience in the territory


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience cold-calling pediatric and/or adult sub-specialists in Nephrology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Neuro-muscular; identifying patients and direct physician education
Experience in a complex payor/reimbursement market
