Clinical Research Specialist (Research Nurse)

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at The Ohio State University Medical Center is currently seeking candidates to join our growing team. Function as a Research Nurse to plan, organize, and coordinate care of patients on clinical research protocols with Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; provides direct and indirect health care services as specified by study protocol; acts as a patient advocate; evaluates and determines eligibility of patients for participation in research protocols; participates with recruiting, screening and enrolling patients in clinical studies; educates study participants on protocol procedures; facilitates and monitors patient compliance; administers and performs procedures and tests; obtains baseline clinical and laboratory information; develops and revises orders; administers medications; evaluates procedures on human subjects; monitors and assesses patients for therapeutic responses and clinical complications related to medications, procedures or treatment that are part of research study; participates in collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of clinical research data.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience; current State of Ohio licensure or interim permit in nursing; experience in a clinical research capacity conducting clinical research trials preferred; and computer literacy.

Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience; clinical research certification from Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP); considerable experience in providing direct patient care, preferably in a women's health specialty; and knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.

Salary: $46,000 - $56,000 Annually
