POSITION 
SUMMARY:

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

This position is adaptable to fit an applicants needs of a .50 to 1.0 FTE. This position will administer and interpret a variety of psychological instruments including those for intelligence, achievement, social, emotional, and adaptive skills. Population will include Native American children as well as others. Position requires consultation to families, professionals, and paraprofessionals; may also include individual consultation regarding implementation of positive behavior support.

MINIMUM 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate degree in Psychology, and completion of Pre-doctoral Clinical Internship; at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

State of NM Licensed Psychologist, or eligibility for NM licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure; must be credentialed per UNM HSC policies and procedures if billing for services under Medicare/Medicaid.

PREFERRED 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of ASD and evidence based strategies for working with children and youth with ASD Ability to instruct students in psychological settings (internships in hospital and clinics) Ability to provide psychological consultations to other mental health professionals within hospitals, clinics and other community-based agencies with regard to clients and/or patient care Demonstrated experience: working with Native American populations and their families diagnosing & evaluating mental and emotional disorders working as part of a multidisciplinary team

CONDITIONS OF 
EMPLOYMENT:

Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
