CLINICAL DATA MANAGER/DATA TEAM LEAD, RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC OR OVERLAND PARK, KS, for our client, the world's leading provider of information, technology, and services working to bring new medicines to patients faster and improve healthcare.

INTRODUCTION
This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of experts with our clients’ Clinical Data Management team. As the clinical Data Manager/Data Team Lead you will be part of a talented team of experienced individuals with one of the global leaders in clinical research.

DESCRIPTION
As part of the Clinical Data Management Team, the Clinical Data Manager/Data Team Lead will provide expertise in order to supply efficient, quality data management products that meet customer needs. In this role you will be viewed as an authority in data management and will provide leadership to the Data Management Team.

You will find yourself in various lead roles depending on current projects and needs. These responsibilities will include providing leadership to the team and/or providing subject matter expertise. As well, you may serve as the Lead on a program of 6-10 global studies or as Project Manager for single service data management projects. You will be responsible to manage delivery of projects through full data management process life-cycle and independently bring project solutions to the Team and Department.

As the Clinical Data Manager/Data Team Lead, you will manage customer relationships with minimal guidance for the project team which will include leading customer negotiations on complex timelines, budgetary concerns and other issues. You will provide marketing capabilities presentations and business development presentations as well as provide justification for customer negotiations.

Additional duties will include managing project timelines, quality issues, resources, scope of work and budget. You will manage comprehensive data management tasks, comprehensive quality control procedures as well as the development and implementation of new technologies. Your analysis and expert opinion will be used in developing, revising, and maintaining core operating procedures and working instructions. As a mentor in training you will provide expertise to other team members and Lead Data Managers. You will present at professional conferences and/or publish articles in professional journals.

REQUIREMENTS
As the ideal candidate you will have a bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological or mathematical sciences or nursing qualification with 5 years relevant experience. Your experience should include proven competence in managing delivery of multiple projects simultaneously through full data management study life-cycle, including large trials with greater than 1000 patients as well as experience handling customer negotiations. This role requires that you have a thorough knowledge of the data management process, experience in specialized data management skills, knowledge of operating procedures and work instructions and the ability to apply them in practice. You should also have a comprehensive understanding of clinical drug development process. You must be detail oriented with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients. This role requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

LOCATION
This is an office-based role with location both in Research Triangle Park, NC and Overland Park, KS.

COMPENSATION
Compensation is competitive and includes a base salary of $80K as well as a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, bonus, and a matching 401K program.
