The Clinicial Perfusionist is defined as a skilled, allied health professional, trained and educated specifically to function as a member of an open-heart surgical team. The Clinicial Perfusionist provides cardiopulmonary support for patients undergoing open heart and major thoracic surgery. After a careful chart review and consulting with the physician, a Clinicial Perfusionist will be responsible for safely selecting, assembling, operating, and disposing of the cardiopulmonary bypass circuit and other related equipment for which PDC Perfusion Services contracts its services.
Graduation from an accredited perfusion training program.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Perfusion Technology preferred.
2 years experience preferred.
American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification or eligibility is required.
