Proactively leading the team in the development of innovative marketing and advertising strategies and Solutions that are relevant to the client and/or category and result in driving revenue for Valassis. Solutions Development Leads the team in the development of client/category focused solutions designed to produce the best results for the client and profitable growth for Valassis. Work with other team resources to create powerful presentations and play the lead role in their face-to-face delivery to the client, at all levels of the organization including key client executives. Works side-by-side with the team lead and proactively assumes a key leadership role.
Research Development and Execution Plan: request funding and resources needed, and execute client/category specific research, including marketing/advertising and proof of value tests, consumer behavior studies and others designed to clearly prove Valassis' key value proposition. Have knowledge of and use existing research to develop client/category solutions. Articulate this and existing research to both internal and external audiences of all levels. Communication Lead: Takes the lead in internal communications and is able to engage audiences across all levels of the organization. Proactively creates opportunities to communicate with clients, Valassis' business partners, and trade contacts Actively communicate best practices to other strategic account/category teams as appropriate Proactively develops effective relationships within marketing organization of client. Leads engagement with Agency where applicable. Category Expertise Must be the client and category expert for the team, and be able to apply that knowledge in all facets of the job. Considered to be a a “category expert” resource by the client and team members.Required Skills
