Claim Service Representative, Trainees (2 openings)

Trainee sought to join a highly respected and dynamic Claims Dept. in beautiful, Montpelier, VT. Be part of a trusted property/ casualtyinsurance company that has been providing superior service and products since 1828. The selected trainees will participate in a 3-4 month intensive training program that will prepare you to take the state adjuster's exam, which must be passed within six months from date of hire. Upon successful completion you will investigate, coordinate, negotiate and settle a wide range of claims, with a focus on phone adjusting and the handling of high volume, low financial exposure & low complexity auto claims. Other duties and clerical functions as assigned.

Candidates should possess the following:

* College Degree (Bachelor's preferred)

* Desire to learn about and become a professional in the insurance industry, specifically, technical aspects of auto claims adjudication;

* Strong writing, math, analytical, communication (verbal & written) & problem-solving skills;

* Superior customer service skills;

* Strong attention to detail;

* Ability to represent the company to, & deal effectively with, a wide range of contacts, including all levels of company personnel, adjusters, outside firms, etc.;

* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.

* Experience with Imaging programs a plus.
