Altran Solutions in Boston Massachusetts seeks an experienced senior level civil/structural

engineer to join our engineering mechanics team. The successful candidate will support

projects in a variety of disciplines and will play an integral part in technical marketing and

business development to expand existing and develop new clients. The position involves:

• Performing of structural analysis and design of steel and concrete systems.

• Performing and checking technical calculations.

• Generating computerized models and analysis.

• Development of design sketches.

• Acting as a technical lead and a customer liaison for various projects.

• Developing business proposals.

• Preparing technical reports and presentations for clients.

• A minimum of B.Sc. in civil engineering/applied mechanics and 10 years of related

experience.

• Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, UBC, IBC and other engineering codes.

• Strong understanding of structural behavior including elastic, plastic, large

deformation, and other nonlinear behavior.

• Working knowledge of finite element methods.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to perform diversified tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

• Strong project management and organizational skills

• Professional Engineering (PE) registration desirable
