Civil/Structural Engineer

Harris Group Inc. is seeking a licensed Civil or Structural Engineer to join our design team in the Portland, Oregon office.  We are seeking engineers that enjoy challenging projects and opportunities for growth and increased responsibility.  The nature of our projects provides opportunities to lead design efforts and learn management skills.  Our staff of experienced professional engineers provides a resource pool to assist in growing your career.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to fill a variety of engineering roles on both new and modifications to existing facilities.  Our current project backlog is a mix of municipal, airports and port facilities, and large manufacturing facilities.  We have multidiscipline engineering teams designing large production facilities and alternate energy projects. Seismic upgrades to existing facilities are common to many projects.

Our projects typically involve structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.  The nature of our projects affords opportunities to challenge your design skills, while balancing cost and schedule concerns.

The position is for a licensed engineer but candidates with the drive and experience to secure professional licensing will be considered. The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil (structural emphasis) or structural engineering.
