Civil Engineering Project MANAGER #102853

 Walnut Creek, CA

This is an extremely profitable and stable Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Mechanical Engineering, Land Planning and Surveying firm. Company is immediately seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager with extensive experience in Public Work projects. The firm has multiple offices within California and this is a KEY position in the Northern California office.

The Project Manager should have proven experience managing public works civil engineering projects. He or she would need to be versed in storm sewer, grading, drainage, stormwater, subdivisions –   commercial / mixed use and some industrial type projects. Additionally, it is required to have strong management and organizational skills. You will be working closely with clients and potentially developing business, so experience in developing work with existing and new clients is required. Local knowledge of the California market is a definite requirement.

REQUIREMENTS

·        BS in Civil Engineering required, MS preferred

·        At least 10 years in Management experience with public works projects 

·        California PE is a REQUIREMENT

·        Ability to create budgets, manage project costs, supervise design / production team

·        Conduct site visits, meet with clients as needed

·        MUST have local contacts to developers / government agencies

·        Business development knowledge and desire required

·        Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
