Cisco Wireless Network Engineer / Consultant
Burwood Group, a Cisco Gold Partner and Partner of the Year in Security Solutions for the Central Region is looking to add Consultants with Route/Switch, Wireless, Network Architecture, and Security experience to its growing Illinois team.
Candidates for this position should have an education and/or background in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of practical experience working in IT, professional services, or customer support organizations with an emphasis on Cisco wireless and networking products and some security background is a plus. Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas: Cisco (CCNP), Cisco Wireless, or Security products.
This individual must possess strong interpersonal, business and technology skills that enable them to engage at the CxO and Director/Manager levels, as well as manage tasks on engagements of limited size and duration. Ideal candidates will also be knowledgeable in the IT consulting environment and have an understanding of IT operations within a business organization. Also, be able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced sales and quality-based delivery model, work in a team-based environment and self manage. Candidates must possess a desire to learn and become a subject matter expert in specific business technology areas.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, between both the customer and all levels within the organization. Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs are also required; must be motivated with a focus on team based performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and expertise to clients and project teamsServe as consultant team member in specific technology areaManage and execute project level tasks and milestonesWork cohesively with other Burwood Group project team members and co-workersBeing involved on business development and pre-sales activitiesJob Qualifications:
