A real estate development and management company with offices in Las Vegas, NV. And Studio City, CA is looking to add a talented, well qualified and knowledgeable member to its already strong management team. As CFO of this 2007 INC 500 company, the candidate must be hard working, able to manage employees, accountable, open to travel, flexible in schedule and HAVE EXPERIENCE in the fields of real estate management / development and hospitality services. JOB SUMMARY:

The CFO is responsible for developing and administering the organization’s overall financial policies and functions to include all accounting, budget, credit, insurance, and tax issues. The CFO will direct and oversee all financial activities of the business, including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook.

The CFO will establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies and will report directly to the President on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. This individual will collaborate in directing the company’s financial growth, structure and direction in both strategic and operating matters. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded leader with a history of working with senior management to increase net profit through effective financial management strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following duties:

· Oversee all company accounting practices: prepare budgets, financial reports, manage tax and audit functions.

· Maintain executive responsibility for financials, including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, and budget.

· Develop and direct financial plans to the strategic business plan, company growth, and market opportunities and direction. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.

· Assist in establishing and implementing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Serve on planning and policy-making committees.

· Develop financial models and operating tools for use by the management team and staff to improve decision making.

· Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures, and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations and business and product development.

· Set-up and /or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organization.

· Manage outside lending relationships.

· Prepare and file federal, state, third-party, and other financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS and other governmental requirements.

· Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with executive management and department heads.

· Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth. Proactively provide financial leadership and guidance to the senior management team to help them maximize EBITDA. Meet regularly with department heads to keep informed and offer direction.

· Evaluate the finance department structure and plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group. Provide individuals with professional and personal growth.

· Manage Accounting Controller and employees; is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Top candidates will have a demonstrated capacity for effective decision-making, business analysis, and forecasting/modeling, as well as the ability to work very independently. He or she must have excellent planning skills and feel comfortable proactively guiding the senior management team to higher levels of efficiency and profitability.

The Chief Financial Officer must be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into operational objectives and projects. He or she will be outgoing, professional, have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and exhibit the leadership characteristics of motivation, confidence, intelligence, and teamwork.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

* Completion of a bachelor's degree in Accounting at an accredited college or university.

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

* MBA preferred.

Experience:

* Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting and supervisory role as the Controller or Chief Financial Officer for a mid-sized (at least 50 employees) real estate / hospitality service organization.

* Multi-national business experience preferred.
