Chief Financial Officer Higher Education Opportunity/University Setting

 

About the Position:

 

We are seeking applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  We are one of the most successful higher education universities in the Midwest.  Our University has total assets that exceed hundreds of millions of dollars.  The CFO will be part of an extremely aggressive and exciting growth plan over the next five years.  The CFO supports our mission by overseeing Financial Management, Accounting, compliance functions, and providing counsel on all financial matters.  As a member of our senior management team, the CFO will participate in setting broad organizational goals, objectives, and policies, particularly in the area of fiscal affairs.  Interviews will begin after the 4th of July holiday.  Time constraints do apply.

Prerequisites and Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include: 

Five years of experience in a Senior Financial management role in a sophisticated and complex financial environment Higher education, University, or college experienced is preferred Ten years of experience in increasingly responsible financial positions encompassing a broad range of managerial roles MBA or equivalent degree is required, CPA preferred Excellent written and oral presentation skills, in addition to superior analytical abilities Advanced leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to make effective decisions based on facts and sound judgment Outstanding creative and problem solving skills Strong team player Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this position is negotiable and will be highly competitive vis-à-vis the successful applicants documented compensation history.  Health and retirement benefits are included, as is relocation assistance if applicable.  The salary range for this position starts at $75K.  We are family focused and not only offer an exceptional compensation and benefits package, but also pride ourselves on a work hard, play hard model that puts family first.
