·Immediate need for a # 2 person (CCO) over smaller, acute care, hospital.  

****Must be Registered Nurse for this role!!****

For this Chief Clinical Officer role we are seeking the individual possessing Strong Leadership Ability/Experience; Strong, well honed, Operations Experience and Excellent “Physician Relation” Experience and Skills.

Salary ($): The salary for this position is excellent (base $alary + quite nice $ bonus) however, you will be expected to earn your pay.

There is a great deal of responsibility that goes with this position and it will rest directly on your shoulders. Successfully carrying out the responsibilities of the CCO role is paramount to the “overall” success of the hospital, financial and otherwise.

Brief Description of job responsibilities: 

Directs and coordinates major functions and activities of clinical operations department. Advises and consults with the CEO on general operations of the hospital. Assumes administrative responsibility for the hospital in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer. Develops department goals and plans for development and delivery of services as relate to the hospital’s primary functions. Responsible for developing, interpreting and communicating, hospital policies and objectives, and operational procedures to department managers and others as deemed necessary. This will include assessing patient population, risk factors and scope of services provided. Develops and monitors department based budget, to ensure operations remain within approved budget limits.

·        Develops staffing plans; maintains employee competency records and continuing education records; maintains a system to ensure orientation of performance evaluation of employees; monitors utilization of hospital facilities.

·        Serves as a member of the hospital executive committee and other administrative committees as designated.

The basic, standard, “clinical” and “experience” qualifications we will expect a candidate to possess for this role are as follows:

Master’s, BSN would be considered with appropriate and extensive experience. Minimum of 3 years management experience at Director level, or above, and a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience. In-depth knowledge of hospital, state, and federal, laws and regulations, JCAHO and State regulation (Title 22), general budgeting, accounting and management skills. Ability to coordinate short and long term planning activities. Ability to work with a large, multi-ethnic, staff and client base. Ability to exercise complex analytical judgment in the work environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In the Chief Clinical Officer role you will have, at your disposal, the necessary hospital and corporate back-upneeded to accomplish the goals and objectives of the hospital and the parent organization.
