Southwest Michigan company seeks qualified chemical engineer to join their professional staff. Job Responsibilities include the following:

1. Train laboratory staff for bath control and plating quality control.

2. Lead laboratory staff for waste water treatment.

3. Help in analyzing plating problems and solutions.

4. Organize all chemical and hazardous wastes and keep in designated area.

5. Update in house chemical inventory periodically.

6. Prepare, maintain and update all paperwork concerning the EPA, DNR and other environmental authorities. File all certifications and communicate with all environmental bodies.

7. Control the waste water quality being discharged from the plant as per environmental regulations.

8. Plan, organize, run and analyze tests for new projects.

9. Track monthly chemical consumption for plating department. Report data monthly to Coating and Technologies Manager.

10. Special projects as assigned

11. Responsible for understanding and for conforming area of responsibility to the principles of the company's quality policy.

12. Plating knowledge and experience is highly preferred.
