Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently searching for an experienced Chemist for a position in Kansas City, KS. This position is expected to go perm for the right candidate.
Position Description:
Responsible for providing analytical testing for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to maintain product quality per established standards and procedures. This includes maintaining GLP’s and conforming to the ISO Quality Standards and FDA requirements.
Experiences/Certifications:
B.S. degree in chemistry or related major, and at least two years of technical knowledge in chemical related sciences.
Core Quality Responsibilities:
Has in-depth knowledge of how to operate analytical instruments and other standard laboratory equipment relevant to job responsibilities.
Understand and use basic laboratory safety equipment and instructions, precautions in handling reagents, and disposal of chemical waste according with local environmental regulations.
Understand and precisely follow written lab procedures, global methods, local methods and published standard or compendia sources.
Collect and analyze data to draw conclusions and recommend actions.
Apply appropriate methodologies, data interpretation techniques and statistics and computer software to assist in overcoming technical difficulties and promote continuous improvement.
Ensure finished products and raw materials conform to release specifications.
Has in-depth knowledge of how to calibrate and maintain analytical instruments and the use of analytical reference standards relevant to job description
Perform or assist the vendor during the installation qualification (IQ), operation qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ) of the analytical instruments.
Maintain awareness of regulatory and GMP requirements relevant to job responsibilities.
Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory notebooks and records.
Troubleshoot basic instrument problems.
This will be a day shift (8-5), 5 days a week position.
