We are currently recruiting for experienced Chemists or Biochemists for our client in Southeastern Wisconsin.  Our client is a privately-owned, biotech company.   This is a direct-hire opportunity.  In this role, you will be responsible for synthesis and purification of oligonucleotides.  You will work closely with Quality Assurance, Marketing, and R & D.  Below are the responsibilities and requirements for this opportunity:

Responsibilities:

Develop goals and plan milestones regarding projectsImplement experimental design using scientific and technical resources to recommend solutionsMonitor progress of projects and lead team to meet objectives while maintaining communication of progress with team members through presentations and reportsTake leadership role for continuous product quality improvement using emerging technology advances while keeping customers’ needs in focusEvaluate whether process capabilities are sufficient to meet business needs and customer requirements. Interact with external suppliers as required for new product launchesWork closely with Quality Assurance to insure corporate ISO9000 goals are being metPrepare standard operating procedures for scale-up manufacturing as well as quality control testing of existing and newly developed productsFollow production schedules for on-time delivery of products. Perform assays to assure that products meet existing requirements for purity, activity and functionality

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science with five to seven years of related experience is required.   An M.S. or PhD with at least three years of related experience is preferred. A proven track record of technical skills and leadership in projects relating to oligonucleotide synthesis and scale-up A proven record of working as part of a teamStrong organizational and multi-tasking skillsExperience with analytical techniques utilizing: HPLC, CE, MS, UV-VIs, and NMRExperience with ISO9000 or cGMP
