KIK INDIANA procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of aerosol and liquid personal care consumer packaged goods.
We are searching for an ANALYTICAL CHEMIST responsible for a wide range of day-to-day lab responsibilities including performing analysis on chemicals, batches and finished products following established methods. Must have demonstrated experience in GC, HPLC and AA instrumentation along with prior lab experience in a manufacturing environment. Your experience in Analytical Chemistry and ability to troubleshoot and develop methods are critical to satisfy the requirements of GMP-GLP and our customers. Must be willing to take on additional responsibility and desire career growth. This position reports to the Analytical Lab Manager.

Supporting Continuous Improvement process and participate in team activities Assisting in providing training with the goal of greater interaction between personnel and departments Reviewing and accessing analytical methods for compatibility and capability while following all safety guidelines within the lab and the plant Performing routing maintenance, calibration, Installation-Operational Qualification Validations for lab equipment Performing Lab Internal Audit for Compliance Troubleshoot – Investigate off quality batch and prepare reprocessing instructionsPreparing Lab Standard Operating Procedures and develop and qualify and document new test methods as neededPerforms instrument analysis, develops analytical procedures, oversees correct use of laboratory instrumentsPerforms instrument analysis on chemicals, batches, and finished products using HPLC, GLC, IR, UV and other instruments as requiredDevelops analytical procedures employing various laboratory methodology and instrumentationDirects technicians in the proper use of laboratory instrumentsTroubleshoots instruments when mechanical or procedural difficulties occurDirects implementation of procedures for processing laboratory reports, documentation, and customer paperworkDirects and teaches technicians to properly sample and test chemicals and to adhere to GMP and GLP proceduresResearches realistic specifications for chemicals, batches and finished products as necessaryInvestigates customer complaints and internal technical services problems, reports findings, and recommends solutionsValidates newly developed methods to meet GLP proceduresIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
4 year college degree in a related fieldMinimum 3 years experience in Chemistry Must be detail oriented Able to work flexible hours, including weekends when requiredAble to work on several projects at onceThe position requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment with an attention to detail at all times.IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS:
