Responsibilities of the Chemical Technician include, but are not limited to:
· Provides support to manufacturing and production under the guidance of Supervisor and method chemist;
· Operates and maintains various pieces of production equipment;
· Assists method chemists in troubleshooting and root cause investigations;
· Involved in the manufacturing of development and validation lots for new products and streamlining new manufacturing processes;
· Responsible for monitoring and controlling processes while maintaining accurate records;
· Improves production worksheets by generating new revisions;
· Willing to adjust work hours to meet the needs of the business.
Essential job requirements of the Chemical Technician:
· Associates degree or higher in Chemistry or Biology;
Desirable experiences of the Chemical Technician include:
· Troubleshooting,
· Previous work in a production environment;
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements;
· Knowledge of AMAPS, Documentum, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Software Package;
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
· Ability to work independently;
· Strong team player.
· Fast learner;
· Motivated and willing to take ownership of continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
This position will work with controlled substances. A Drug Enforcement Agency and Criminal background check are required.
This position requires a 2-year commitment.
The Liquids Production area is a 3-shift, non-rotating operation with current openings on the 2am-10:30am and 1pm-9:30pm shifts.
