Department of Energy Prime Contractor is actively searching for an Assistant Lead Chemical Process Engineer to work a state of the art nuclear project near the South Carolina - Georgia border. Candidates need a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent scientific degree with a minimum of ten years experience in the engineering design and procurement of chemical process systems. Important to have proven technical leadership and management experience of a group of engineers. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and manage budget and schedule. Related experience with design of nuclear chemical processing at DOE or US NRC facilities is highly desirable (e.g. Purex, Fissile material blending/ conversion, HLW processing). Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of aqueous process applications such as dissolution, solvent extraction, precipitation and calcination. Nuclear facility experience at DOE or US NRC facilities.
