The Channel Marketing Senior Product Manager is responsible for management of the Belkin Home Theatre/Connected Home product lines, including the specific product mix, product families, and ongoing evaluation of products to be added, enhanced, refined, developed, or eliminated. Increase sales and profitability through identification of visionary new product concepts for anticipated needs in our industry niches, and develop support resources and training for sales, customers, packaging, manuals, and technical support. Ensure that the Belkin product line is recognized as the best line by resellers and end users in the industry for value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability, and ease of use. Supervise all activities of product managers and set priorities and ensure that deadlines are met.

Specific Responsibilities:Increase sales and profits of selected products to targeted levels. Ensure all product managers' forecasts (Business Plans) are concrete and are justified and monitor sales to verify accuracy (leave alone or modify during course of year). Manage and direct ongoing market research through direct customer contact and surveys, trade shows and journals, sales evaluations, monitoring competitors and industry trends, and vendor contact. Responsible for product manager's compliance with store visits, Mktg. TO DO List, NewPack, task lists and any other mandatory tasks deemed necessary. Identify and recommend new product concepts. Determine product specifications and features. Source or develop final product, either internally or externally. Ensure product managers comply with all necessary steps (PM checklist) for all development and product launches. Provide Marketing Department with sufficient information to develop product packaging, documentation, bulletins, and training material. Coordinate costing with Purchasing Department and pricing with Sales management. Ensure all product managers periodically review pricing of assigned product line to ensure competitiveness. Continuously analyze inventory levels of product lines and recommend and implement methods to speed up, slow down or blow out product stock levels. Ensure all product managers create break-even analyses, timelines, and budgets for all new development type products. Ensure all product managers have trademarked all appropriate brand names and patented any worthwhile designs. Ensure that all appropriate products are localized in terms of packaging, product specification, marketing collateral, etc. for the European and Latin American market. Negotiate contracts, with management approval, with design consultants, design firms, manufacturers, and other vendors. Provide sales training information and classes as they relate to product, competitors, and the marketplace. Create and maintain a Belkin Master Training Folder. Manage projects through product managers and development personnel. Hire, manage, and take related actions as required.
