Job Summary:
Our client is a fast growing community bank and we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer with a BS Degree in Accounting, an MBA or CPA a plus, with a minimum of 7 years experience utilizing generally accepted accounting principals. We are looking for a Chief Credit Officer that understands that to do this job well it is more of an art than a science. Anyone can learn the accounting, call report, compliance and other “rule based” finance. We are looking for someone that has a deeper understanding of how things like funding really work. In this Chief Credit Officer role you will develop operating budgets, perform budget analysis, report variances and make recommendations to Executive Management and the Board of Directors. The Chief Credit Officer is charged with maximizing returns on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community. The Chief Credit Officer must strictly adhere to tax laws and regulatory compliance in order to properly reflect the financial status of the bank. Ideal candidates for this Chief Credit Officer position will be self motivated and able to direct accounting department activities while providing leadership, training and supervision within the department. Knowledge of all applicable state and federal banking regulations is a must.
Job Requirements:
-Long tenured Bank Controller or Bank CFO
-College graduate with major in accounting and ideally a CPA designation.
-Understanding of Community Banking and desire to wear multiple hats.
-Proven success in maintaining positive relations with bank regulators.
-Recent exposure to the changing regulatory demands.
-Ability to get along with people at any level.
-Great work ethic.
