Yoh Scientific has a contract opening for a Cell Biologist in the King of Prussia, PA area. Our customer is a global pharmaceutical firm engaged in the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of products worldwide. 

Summary:
This particular department deals with oncology biomarkers and will work with newly approved compounds. Our client is looking for somebody with hands on cell culture and maintenance experience.

Description:
• The lab work is focused around oncology biomarkers ID and validation.  Will work on a compound just approved by the FDA.
• The studies explore other indications of the drug and also drug combination studies.
• Responsible for carrying out cell culture and the maintenance of multiple mammalian cell lines.
• This includes use of cell-based/biological assays, proliferation assays, and apoptosis assays.
• Specifically work with human cell lines and drugs that are in a clinical phase, however, not clinical samples.
• Will handle the ordering of lab supplies.

Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in Biology or related field with at least 2 - 5 years of relevant cell biology experience.
• Must have strong cell culture and cell line maintenance skills, and experience with cell-based/biochemical assays preferred, including cell proliferation and apoptosis assays.
• Hands on experience and training in molecular biology, cellular biology or biochemistry research. 
• Ability to work independently, and think on your own.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell based assays including cell proliferation and apoptosis in 96-well format is required.
• Maintaining cell culture, ordering lab supplies, handling in vitro compound treatment and perform cell based assays are required.
