The candidate that will have an opportunity to land this wonderful opportunity must have a current California RN license. CPHQ or CCM is preferred. This person must demonstrate the ability to apply technical and critical thinking principles, treatment and evaluation of patients and families. Must demonstrate professional leadership skills that include problem resolution capabilities. Must also demonstrate cognitive and psychomotor capabilities in diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients and families. Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills are needed. Interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills are required. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible.

Requirements:
Three years experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting. Experienced in utilization review, discharge planning or case management. Current California RN license. CPR and National Certification specific to area of practice. CPHQ or CCM preferred. Basic knowledge of Healthcare law and finance required. Must be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and MediTech preferable. Must have some understanding of third party payers, understanding of how to create an insurance review and basic knowledge of either InterQual or Milliman & Roberts Criteria.
