Job Description:

We are currently seeking Career Associates to join the Litigation Practice group resident in either Boston or New York. The Career Associate – D&O/GPL Insurance Specialist will provide legal services and support in the Litigation Practice Area. Primary responsibilities of this position include the review and update of client director & officer ("D&O") and general partnership liability ("GPL") insurance policies, providing risk management advice, and the development and maintenance of computerized system tracking risk management issues and advice. The Career Associate will have significant interaction with clients, lawyers, paralegals and a litigation support team. This position is a non-partnership track position.
Essential Functions:
* Working with other Firm attorneys, clients and clients' brokers and insurers to review and update client D&O and GPL insurance policies.
* Providing litigation risk management and insurance advice to clients and other lawyers.
* Analyzing, managing and minimizing litigation risks for clients through contractual measures and insurance coverage.
* Create and maintain system for tracking risk management issues and advice.
* Assist with training of and provision of advice to associates on D&O and GPL insurance and risk management issues.
* Assisting clients with notification and coverage issues under applicable insurance policies.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* JD degree and minimum 5 years securities or comparable litigation experience or insurance industry experience.
* Minimum 5 years experience at medium to large firm or comparable industry experience.
*Working knowledge of director & officer liability and general partnership liability coverage terms and market.
* Working knowledge of the litigation risks facing operating company, portfolio company, private equity, mutual fund and hedge fund clients of the Firm.
*Experience providing risk management advice, in particular, to both public companies and private equity, mutual fund and hedge fund clients as plus.
