Yoh IT has a contract opening for a Captiva Developer in St. Louis, MO.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Evaluate user requests for new programs or complex modifications to existing programs.  Perform research and gather relevant data to assist with determination of feasibility, cost and time required.  Prepare detailed program specifications.  Develop coding for computer programs, enter coding into existing systems, test and debug programs.  Create programming documentation.  Monitor ongoing program and system performance. May provide training or act as a mentor to less experienced team members.
 
PRINICPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
• Work with IS and Business management to evaluate complex user requests and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs.  Determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and system capabilities.
• Independently formulate detailed program specifications using structured analysis and design methodology. Prepare project definition documentation.  Work with functional architects to define and implement application architecture in a multi-platform distributed environment.
• Independently code new or modified computer programs into existing systems and test program effectiveness.  Evaluate error messages, modify codes and troubleshoot programming problems.
• Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Oversee development of user manuals and operating procedures.  May train users and provide technical assistance to resolve operating issues.
• Provide assistance to IS team members with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems and/or programming knowledge.  Provide on-the-job training for new or less experienced programmers. Mentor team to improve their understanding and skill and ensure they are familiar with resource materials including manuals and systems.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining ongoing performance of systems and develops updates or modifications according to business needs. Work with end users to provide production operations support including system setup and processing and data extraction.  Provide off-hour support with on-call rotation.
• Performs other duties as required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years experience in applications programming
• 3+ years Captiva FormWare Filebase design and development experience
• Minimum of 3 years VB development experience
• Experience with RightFax and the RightFax Integration Module
• Experience with IBML Scanners a plus
• Application & workflow design work using FileNet eProcess and/or P8 api’s a plus
• Experience with FileNet Image Services & eProcess a plus
• Experience with FileNet P8 suite of applications a plus
• Experience with Java/J2EE technologies , specifically java web services, Oracle and SQL Sever DB's a plus
• Experience with MQ a plus
• Thorough knowledge of programming concepts, design, procedures and practices
• Experience in multi-platform distributed environment
• Detailed knowledge of programming
• Adaptability and willingness to learn
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
• Strong mentoring skills
• Project management experience and proven ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple deadlines very helpful
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
• Extremely detail oriented
• Strong customer service focus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with health care or PBM industry very helpful
