Job Description --------------- Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Director Capital Markets, Valuation and Accounting Advisory (CVA) offers a seamless suite of integrated services addressing complex capital markets, financial reporting, accounting, and valuation issues faced by a diverse base of corporate and private equity clients. CVA specializes in providing strategic guidance and advice during capital raising and investing activities, addressing financial accounting issues in such complex topics as financial instruments, consolidation, business combinations and leasing, and valuations prepared for both financial reporting and tax purposes, including interplay between accounting and valuation. By combining these skills, CVA creates unique, comprehensive solutions for companies confronting a broad range of challenges, including IPOs, acquisitions and divestitures, implementations of new accounting pronouncements, and IFRS conversions. CVA is focused on providing its financial reporting advisory services to non-audit clients, which is a leading growth driver for the Firm. CVA also plays a substantial role serving the Firm's audit clients, participating in the resolution of the most complex issues. As a Director providing Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory services, you will have the opportunity to: Refine a broad set of technical and “soft” skills, with the potential to specialize in one or more accounting or reporting topics Serve as the main contact or “trusted advisor” for world-class clients Participate in a collaborative team, with a focus on knowledge sharing and thought leadership Lead project teams comprised of dynamic groups of professionals from around the world with diverse experiences and subject matter expertise Provide cutting edge advice, drawing on both financial accounting and corporate finance perspectives Engage directly with deal teams (bankers, lawyers, clients and other PwC teams) throughout a transaction Develop a network of subject matter experts and National Office specialists through formal and informal consultations Years of Experience Required ---------------------------- 8+ Education Required ------------------ Education Requirements Degree in Accounting required Degree in Finance or Economics, a plus MBA, a plus Job Requirement Essential ------------------------- Requirements CPA or equivalent Relative Performance Rating of 2 or higher (internal) 8-10 years’ experience in financial reporting related roles including external audit, technical accounting roles, transaction advisory roles, etc. Advanced technical (GAAP/SEC) aptitude and experience in public company financial reporting matters Specialized knowledge in one or more technical topics (e.g. financial instruments, leasing, consolidation, business combinations, SEC rules and regulations, IFRS, industry sectors) Outstanding client service skills Commitment to coaching and mentoring and strong skills in this area Excellent communication skills & “Executive Presence” Project management skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment Appetite for travel Not required, but valuable CFA, ASA Type of Position ---------------- Full Time Relocation Information ---------------------- Yes
