Job Description: Put your love of canines to work in our Canine Education Program! In this program, you will deliver excellent training to our canine pet friends and their pet parents, helping them strengthen their bond! We have a great career opportunity for qualified candidates as a PETCO Dog Trainer. Responsibilities include: Conducting and promoting obedience-training classes within assigned PETCO store(s) Instructing owners/customers on how to train their canines to be "good canine citizens" both inside and outside the home Consulting with owners/customers in solving training and behavioral issues Helping motivate owners/customers and their canines to ensure that both achieve success and satisfaction with our educational services Assisting owners/customers in selecting the products needed to complete the obedience training course as well as products that will help them with behavioral issues they may be experiencing Interested candidates will need: High school degree or equivalent (GED) Experience in dog obedience and/or successfully completing PETCO obedience assessments or PETCO Obedience Instructor Program PETCO offers a fun working environment, great benefits (including medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, flexible work schedules, and an associate discount thats good at all PETCO stores.
