QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years of equivalent work experience with claims / risk management / insurance programs (preferably in a retail setting)
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent written communications skills
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• College degree & Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following but other duties may be assigned.
• Ensure the timely reporting, investigation, and settlement of claims
• Educate, advise, and provide support to the restaurant’s Operations staff
• Oversee the compilation and distribution of reports
• Able to effectively interface with claims representatives, insurance broker, and internal customers (including Operations, HR, Facilities, Accounting departments)
• Selecting appropriate loss prevention techniques and implementing programs to minimize losses
• Analyzing and classifying risks as to frequency and severity
• Overseeing the insurance renewal process (to assist with budget planning, evaluating coverages, assimilating renewal information)
