PLANT ACCOUNTANT- this position is located in Louisville, KY.

 

The Plant Accountant will provide accounting and financial analytical support to the Production Facility and Management Team. Facilitate improvements in performance through analysis involving operating expenses, productivity performance, quality metrics, and other new initiatives.  You will be responsible for creating and developing financial processes and reports.  This position is based in Louisville, KY.

 

 

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Perform audits on the data stream.

·         Power User for ERP/MRP system such as SAP, Axapta, Accpac, Oracle, Hyperion, Peoplesoft, in particular, inventory and purchasing modules.

·         Create financial and operational analysis needed to measure and monitor company operating activities including but not limited to:

o        Unit Costs of production

o        Productivity

o        Utilization

·         Maintain and develop analysis and reports using database report writing tools with significant experience in Excel and SQL to prepare basic models and analysis. A key aspect of the above is the ability to accurately interpret operating and financial data based on a sound understanding of business process flows and providing data to improve our margins and operational efficiencies

·         Administer data tracking for plant incentive programs

·         Create ad hoc reports.

·         Utilize database reporting tools to filter large volumes of data into concise decision support information

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

3+  years of demonstrated similar development experience in finance, manufacturing or distribution environment Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, engineering or economicsStrong analytical and problem solving skills as demonstrated through professional and educational achievementsCourse work and or practical experience in basic and cost accountingDemonstrated understanding of sophisticated Logistics and DistributionMust be extremely proficient with Excel   Must be comfortable in a hyper-growth environment and comfortable making decisions without a great deal of direct supervision

Desirable Experience/Skills:

 

·         New system integration, a plus

·         Proficiency with SQL
