C++ PROGRAM ANALYST in Apple Valey CA

CACI has an immediate requirment to backfill a currrent employee. Specifically, we are looking for an experienced C++Builder developer for full-time, on-site, work in Apple Valley, CA (just northeast of Victorville in Southern CA). You will be working in a small office of eight employees writing software for the US Army Corp of Engineers. Applications are quite large consisting of 300 to 700 CPP files, 100 to 150 database tables, and thousands of users worldwide. Expertise in C++/VCL programming and working with large projects required. In addition, SQL capabilities and fluent English speaking skills for user telephone support regarding software module operations are required.

Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Secret security clearance.

Job Description:

As a recognized company expert, collects and analyzes major weapon systems, or other defense systems, or homeland security and information system programs, to include financial, technical and/or engineering data. Develops, reports and analyzes performance metrics and programmatic documents. As an organization consultant, performs technical system analysis of very complex weapons systems, defense or homeland security systems and/or weapon portfolios, and acquisition-related engineering and technical management functions; such as electrical and/or mechanical engineering, aeronautical systems and/or engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, production and quality assurance, standardization, modeling and simulation, and test and evaluation. . Provides guidance to less experienced Program Analysts. Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent and ten to twelve years of experience.

Technical Skills (in order of importance):

- In depth knowledge of Borland C++ Builder

- Extensive knowledge of C++

- SQL including complex queries, joins, unions

- Ability to develop and troubleshoot PL/SQL stored procedures

- Ability to develop and troubleshoot SQL triggers

- 3rd party VCL controls (Woll2Woll, VCLZip, DOA, dbExpress)

- VCL component architecture

- Experience and knowledge of Oracle (Oracle certified DBA preferred)

Additional Desirable Skills:

- Object oriented development

- Familiarity with Delphi Programming Language

- Visual Studio/C#

- ReportBuilder custom report development

- Database security (User roles, explicit grants, auditing)

- Knowledge of Partitioned Databases

- Experience with Firebird SQL database

- Familiarity with Citrix Metaframe

- Automated build/test concepts and tools (Build Studio, Automated QA)

- Source Code Control (MS VSS)

- XML
