POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Security Risk Analyst serves as the technical lead to operate a large and complex portfolio of certification and accreditation (C&A) processes for a federal client. The incumbent performs risk assessments, contingency plan testing, and other advanced-level C&A activities in accordance with NIST Special Publications 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, 800-53A, and related OMB and NIST guidance. The incumbent develops system and program-level analysis reports and briefings for federal client management and senior executive personnel. The incumbent operates and serves as the systems manager for a web-based automated system which maintains risk management information for the client enterprise. The position requires occasional domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), certification and PMI PMP certification desirable.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) years IT/technical experience is required, to include three (3) or more years of progressive information security experience with Federal Government projects. At least one (1) full year of experience performing NIST SP800-30 risk assessments and applying NIST SP800-53 security controls. Additional experience with FISMA, FIPS, and OMB circular A-130 desirable.
Skills: The position requires a demonstrated capacity to analyze and apply technology solutions which meet the security control requirements specified by FISMA, OMB, and NIST guidance. Strong technical, writing, and presentation skills are required. Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to multitask, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
