Description

Our client, a successful manufacturing company seeks a buyer with 1-2 years experience in manufacturing. This position is responsible to effectively purchase parts and supplies.

Responsibilities

Determine target cost for components, assist with mass production purchasing requirements Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as equipment, pre manufactured parts for production. Participate in the selection of suppliers, and conduct supplier audits Work with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.Maintain manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.

Requirements

 Associates Degree plus 1-2 years experienceMust be able to develop schedules in required format and an emphasis on supplier qualification procedures.
Ability to read blueprintsRequired to travel independently to supplier locationsAbility to manage multiple projectsExcellent verbal and written communications skills
