We are currently in need of a Buyer. 

Job Description:

Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. 
Requires ability to interpret and act based on MRP and ROP pull signals for assigned parts on a daily basis.
Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. 
Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. 
Obtains materials, components, equipment and services. 
Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. 
Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. 
May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria. 
Minimize exposure to excess and obsolete, disposition as necessary.
At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.

Requirements:

B.S. Business/Logistics/Supply Chain
Lean/Kanban/Pull/ROP experience
Complete understanding of MRP
Demonstrated ability to work in Team environment
Contract Manufacturer and Direct Order Fulfillment experience
Negotiations experience
Ability to multi-task
SAP experience preferred
