Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Buyer to be located in Kalamazoo, MI responsible for purchase of assigned direct material commodities and North American MRO supply base.

Job Responsibilities:

· Work with suppliers and Flowserve personnel to purchase material as requested by the MRP system and requisitions.

· Procure quality product to meet dynamic production schedules, and inventory management and cost reduction objectives.

Work with site and division functional areas and supply base to quote cost and delivery for existing and new purchased components, and to resolve quality, cost, and delivery issues.

· Implement MRO sourcing contracts with NA sites to reduce operating and administrative cost.

· Develop metrics to track MRO savings and improve compliance with contracted sources.

Participate in FSD global commodity team and work with Global Supply Management as requested.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

· Strong analytical and communication skills.

· Working knowledge of MRP.

· Able to work well in a team environment, be self-motivated and service-oriented, and deal with associates and suppliers in a professional manner.

· Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)

· Preference will be given to qualified applicants with APICS or NAPM certification.
