Responsibilities: Responsible for purchasing, negotiating and contracting equipment, materials and supplies from external vendors. Works with requestors to understand requirements including specifications, services, performance and timing. Individual is knowledgeable about national, regional and local contract agreements and assures compliance within their commodities. Analyzes vendor bid packages to ensure compliance to requirements and partners with requestor in determining total cost of ownership. Ensures compliance to all safety, purchasing, stores, and environmental policies and procedures. Responsible for annual spend up to $50MM. Individual works to build a strong partnership within their operating areas or commodity group to help drive process improvements and presents innovative solutions to recurring issues. Actively represents procurement and the facility operations on regional and national sourcing initiatives. Individual able to lead a team and to solve problems that cross disciplines. Education: Bachelors degree preferred. Basic Qualifications: minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain, engineering, maintenance in the paper industry, or accounting field. Successful at leading project teams. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities: Strong communication, planning and organization skills. Passport or SAP system knowledge preferred. Attention to details and solid customer service and negotiating skills. Competencies: Problem Solving, Sense of Urgency, Customer Focus, Team Work, Communicating
