Job Description: Position Overview: Ensures continuous flow of raw materials to support the manufacturing and service processes in the most efficient and cost effective manner by managing the supply chain. Primary Responsibilities Develops and implements strategic programs which ensure supply and demand equilibrium. Places purchase orders, works MRP, expedites, and works long term agreements. Manages consigned inventory program and/or other inventory levels. Rolls out continuous improvement and lean manufacturing concepts to suppliers. Assists in development of interdepartmental and individual goals. Participates in lean manufacturing activities. Streamlines information flow between production and suppliers.

Job Experience: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: B.A. or B.S. Degree with emphasis in Supply Chain Management and/or Engineering and at least 2 years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment. Good computer skills in MSOffice, mainframe applications relating to procurement, and ability to learn new software/programs. Knowledge of purchasing and accounting processes. Ability to multi-task with good organization and prioritization skills. Good negotiation skills. Good analytical skills. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor Years of Experience Required: 3-5 Years Expected Travel Time: About 25%
