Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Applies advanced statistical and lean techniques to purchasing and operations planning in order to optimize inventory levels. Leads cross-functional teams in new product, re-sourcing, cost improvement and related projects. Schedules, orders and coordinates the delivery of parts/materials, equipment and services based upon demand or forecast. Controls the inventory of parts/materials in accordance with management objectives. Acts as the primary contact for vendors/suppliers. Develops department policy and procedure based on sound theory and analysis. Expert in Purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures. Requests quotations and selects sources based upon thorough analysis. Prepares reports and required documents for Management. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management/Supply Chain/Logistics and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Navision ERP experience a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
