Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting the Buyer in the procurement of eggs, milk and dairy by reviewing vendor products, performing cost analysis and competitive retail strategy and conducting vendor negotiations.  Additionally, this job will include developing strategy and tactics with the buyer to achieve sales and profit margin plans.  Also performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.  Occasional travel is required. 

Requirements:

A general knowledge of retailing and merchandising techniques is required, as well as a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Planner, Assistant Buyer, Replenishment Specialist or equivalent position in a high volume wholesale club or general merchandising environment.  Strong PC skills to include familiarity with Excel, MS Word, and Power Point are required.  Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
