Our Business Risk Services (BRS) practice, a specialty advisory practice within Assurance & Advisory Business Services, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational solutions that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. BRS seeks a dynamic leader for the highly visible position of BRS Senior Manager. This professional will manage internal audit work for a client's entire region and/or line of business as a member of the internal audit management team and in accordance with the client's audit plan, risk management strategy and EY's internal audit methodologies.
ResponsibilitiesWork with high-growth clients and other market leaders in industries such as retail, consumer products, financial services, insurance and health sciences. Develop the scope of services with internal audit and executive client management; guide the team in the development of cost-effective and practical recommendations for improvement; provide guidance on complex audit matters and monitor engagement economics.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client management and a commitment to client satisfaction. Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers. Gain acceptance on a wide variety of issues impacting the client.
Participate in the career and performance development of the BRS practice by serving as a career counselor, training new staff and providing timely and specific performance feedback. Foster teamwork and innovative thinking.
Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery. Leverage ideas from other project engagements to enhance knowledge and create efficiencies.
Generate new business opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines. Actively encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to introduce EY's services.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field; MBA preferred a minimum of 7-8 years of related audit or applicable business experience; 3 or more years in a management role and 2 years of public accounting experience preferred strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic strong skills in project management and engagement closure experience and interest in recruiting and professional development proficiency with MS Office and Lotus NotesCPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CMA, RICS APC, PMP or CCIM certification desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified within 1 year from the date of hire. Based on an individual's professional background, area of expertise, or industry focus, we recognize that other certifications, credentials, or experience may be more relevant than the listed certifications and therefore may be acceptable substitutes with written consent of Ernst & Young's Area and Americas BRS leadership.
Successful candidates must be available to travel as needed within and outside of the U.S. and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Second language skills and international business experience are preferred.
