Our IT Operations team is seeking a Business Intelligence Administrator to perform ongoing 24/7 support for Business Intelligence architectures including installing, upgrading, system/batch monitoring and processing, handling user questions and queries, investigating and solving system problems.  

Responsibilities:

Monitor health, manage security, tune the performance, upgrade, install and maintain production control, and plan and architect entire Business Intelligence infrastructure including Cognos 8 Suite Tools, MS SQL Server 2000 Analysis Cubes, and ETL applications for subsequent growth. Independent software design and documentation for  multiple-platforms (HP/UX and Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server, IBM AIX) , multiple databases (  Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, MS Sql Server and DB2 ) and  multiple-languages (PL/SQL, XML, Visual Basic, .net, ASP, Unix Scripting). Monitor and administrate scheduled jobs via AutoSys Unicenter r11 Workload Management Suite including reports for business users, ETL jobs and cronjobs. Deploy and Post-Implement support in compliance with software change control policies and procedures.

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics is strongly preferred, but may be substituted with exceptional work experience.  Certification as Cognos Administrator, Microsoft Analysis Services Administrator, ETL application Administrator, Oracle Developer is desired .  Experience as a significant administrator or developer on at least 1 data warehouse implementation.  Minimum of 2 years experience administrating or developing and enhancing numerically-intensive analytical tools including at least 1 project that involved the creation of data mining or data visualization software.  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Knowledge of OLAP, ROLAP and MOLAP design structures, efficiency considerations, development techniques and updating considerations. Understanding of relational, star-schema and snowflake schemas, including design and optimization considerations. 2 years or more of administration and development experience with the Cognos 8 tool suite, Microsoft Analysis Services tool suite, and ETL applications. Experience installing and maintaining Business Intelligence application servers.
