This position requires significant previous years of work experience in the gas turbine or coal fired Fossil Fuel Power Plant industry.


Leadership responsibility for all Power Business Group Quality Management functions 

Develop and drive a strategic approach of continuous improvement throughout our business processes.

Champion the deployment of the “CH2M Way” Project Delivery Business Processes across our business unit.

Provide leadership and oversight in the training of our employees in the “CH2M Way” Project Delivery Business Processes.

Assist the Power Leadership Team in standardizing, documenting and training our employees on the operating protocols utilized throughout our business group.

Establish metrics that are consistently utilized to measure our performance, that have a positive impact on the organization and that drive cross-functional process improvement and individual accountability.

Work closely with functional leaders across the business group to identify and prioritize process improvements.

Provide tools and resources to support functions in process improvement.

Coordinate with other cross functional support organizations outside of the Power Business Group to ensure we leverage the work of others to reduce our cost of conformance. 

Implement an effective Process Audit program consistent with the “CH2M Way”.

Manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, systems, tools and staff utilized in our project delivery.

Manage the Code Compliance programs associated with our work, (i.e. Welding Procedures, code stamps, etc.)

Audit project quality performance to the Project Quality Control Manual and Contract requirements. Qualifications • 10 years of engineering/construction industry experience
• 5 years relevant power project experience (Solid Fuel, Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle Power Plants, clean Air Projects)
• EPC as well as engineering services project delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Black Belt in Quality Management
• Must have advanced experience with project management, project delivery concepts and methodologies.
• Must have an understanding of EPC Project Delivery
• Must understand various contract types utilized in the industry, i.e. cost plus, T&M, lump sum and ensure that all requirements of the prime contract are understood. Must also understand Joint Venture contracting relationships.
• Must be able to exercise independent and professional judgment in solving problems and coordinating issues as it relates to quality management issues and exercise independent judgment in dealing with clients, subcontractors and team partners insolving quality related problems.
• Will perform detailed analysis of our business group and our projects performance and present the analysis to senior management with recommendations for process improvement
• Must be a check and balance with our project management teams in analyzing our performance on our projects.
• Must possess technical and practical application of engineering, procurement and construction functions.
• Excellent analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
• Prior experience leading cross-functional teams, using project management techniques and influencing skills to deliver quantified business results.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Must be proficient in managing and directing people; have leadership skills to perform evaluations of quality managementstaff regarding performance and technical abilities and be able to direct and delegate work assignment.
• Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, clients and other in contact with the job.

BS/BA preferred.
MBA or Business Degree preferred.
