We have an exciting opportunity available in our West Lafayette, IN office for a Business Development Manager.
SIMULIA Central has locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Minnesota. The Indiana office is located in West Lafayette, home of Purdue University. West Lafayette is conveniently located one hour northwest of Indianapolis and two hours southeast of Chicago. This easy access to major metropolitan cities is combined with a small town atmosphere, excellent school systems, and a low cost of living.
The Business Development Manager directly generates revenue through direct sales of software, services, and training and is also responsible for account management of customers within the specified region. Targets are based on a combination of software and services revenue.
Responsible for growing a set of accounts in a specific territory, the Business Development manager follows a consultative sales process to land new business and build relationships with customers; Liaises with technical support and professional services within organization to ensure customer satisfaction and cultivate repeat business; Promotes growth of revenue in existing accounts through increased usage of Abaqus and acquisition of additional Abaqus products; Identifies service opportunities; and conducts presentations, coordinates benchmarks, demonstrations and other steps necessary to develop new business.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelors degree in engineering with a minimum 5 years of industrial experience or a Masters degree in engineering with at least 2 years of industrial experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical sales, management, and interpersonal skills and strong knowledge of the computer aided engineering market. Excellent time management, communication, presentation and organizational skills are required.
Note: This position requires extensive travel. Only candidates with US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) will be considered.
