The company hiring is an active member of the USGBC and is the leading US manufacturer in their niche of architectural building products. (Section 9) Their products are used in the construction and or renovation of commercial, educational, institutional and healthcare buildings. Products are LEED-NC V2.2 Credit Compliant
Their products addresses several areas within the USGBC’s LEED® rating system including *ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE * INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL and *QUALITY AND INNOVATION IN DESIGN.
JOB PURPOSE and DUTIES:
Your job will be to find upcoming construction projects in the Northeast that could benefit from your product offering. You will be responsible for making contact with key architects, designers, engineers, commercial developers or specification writers that are responsible for these projects. You will travel to their offices where you will put on PowerPoint presentations for both large and small groups. You will be responsible for product presentations, lunch and learn sessions that are AIA accredited, building relationships and providing the answers. As is the case with your counterparts around the world you will be welcomed by these firms and your time and knowledge will be in demand.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· You must be an outgoing professional with a high level of knowledge of architectural design and / or building energy controls/plug and play/lighting/HVAC
· You are absolutely willing to travel 50%
· You have done and enjoy doing PowerPoint presentations and/or educational seminars for large and small groups of well educated professionals.
· You have excellent communication skills.
· You have knowledge of construction documents
· You have the ability to find the people and projects and are very good at developing relationships
The ideal candidate will have contacts and experience engaging with architects, engineers, developers, owners and brokers in the Northeast.

If you have experience as an Architect, engineer or project manager for an architectural firm.
OR
You have sales experience commercial architectural products or commercial interiors such ceiling systems, demountable walls, roofing, HVAC, lighting controls, specialty flooring, office furniture systems with knowledge of “plug and play” and relationships build with the specification community.
This company is not easy to get hired by but employees are happy and turnover is very low.
This position is based in the Northeast – Boston is preferred but there is some flexibility. Territory is all of New England, New York, NJ and Pennsylvania. Maryland could be included. Travel is very controllable, you set your schedule.
