The Business Development Executive (BDE) - Enterprise is responsible for obtaining new business within the Enterprise market, i.e., businesses with 250-2000 + employees. The BDE researches, plans and prioritizes prospects of potential customers. Initiates contact with these potential customers to establish interest and determine opportunity. Demonstrates highest level of professional conduct in pursuing customers, representing the best of OfficeMax in promoting our products, services and commitment to customer satisfaction. Accounts are transitioned at time of contract and/or within ~ 30 days of account activation to the Enterprise Business Relationship Manager for account implementation, servicing and retention.
Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop prospect lists of potential new customers. Utilizing multiple lead sources, research, plan and prioritize business contacts with potential customers. Target businesses with 250-2000+ employees.Initiate contact with prospects to establish interest, determine business needs and sales opportunity, through cold calling and networking. Determine creative solutions to identify and develop new customers, while maintaining the highest level of professional standards. Persistently pursue opportunities, representing the best of OfficeMax in promoting our products, services and commitment to customer satisfaction.Conduct sales presentations with potential customers to formally communicate the complete range of business benefits as an OfficeMax customer. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of OfficeMax products and services in order to maximize business potential. Collaborate with internal departments to research product and pricing options to satisfy all customer potential business needs. Continue to communicate with potential customers to retain interest and result in business engagement. Present contracts and/or service and support commitments for customer approval when the sales process is finalized, ensuring that customer business needs are met while representing the best interests of OfficeMax. Ensure that new customers are transitioned for account implementation, servicing and retention. Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values of safety, integrity, process improvement and customer satisfaction, while embodying the brand essence of passion, innovation and fun. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent in education/experience Previous sales experience is not required. However, some previous work or internship time in a professional business setting will be of benefit. Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities Valid driver's license required Minimal overnight travel may be required Presentation, problem-solving and negotiation skills Superior communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels of customer management Computer skills utilizing MS Office products, email and other proprietary software Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tenacity and OfficeMax values, regardless of outcome
